A typographic calendar with Sino-Korean poetry that each represents a month of the year. The aim was to visualize the time by using palettes for monthly gradient backgrounds from photographs of the sky from different times of the day, from dawn till dusk. 

The lettering for each page is composed of the month in Sino-Korean and a phrase of two characters quoted from the poetry. 

I worked on months of even numbers and Hyunah Seok on months of odd numbers. 

FEBRUARY (二月)

春梅 Ume flowers blooming for spring

春梅爛發濃香動 欣請迎君共醉觴

매화꽃 흐드러지니 짙은 향기 진동하고 
흔쾌히 님과 함께 취하도록 잔 기울이네 

APRIL (四月)

藤莖 Wisteria vine

藤莖茂盛乾坤蓋 擬是紛紜世事忙

등나무줄기가 무성하게 온 누리를 덮으니 
아마도 세상일이 바쁜 것과 같음이라 

JUNE (六月)

牧丹 Peony

牧丹艶態三時振 富貴功名五福昌
모란은 고운 자태 수시로 떨침이니 
부귀와 공명과 오복이 창성하다 

AUGUST (八月)

桂影 Moonlight shadow of cassia

空山桂影明天下 不夜城中聞笛中

공산명월은 휘영청 천하를 밝히었고 
불야성 이룬 곳에 피리소리 들리누나 

OCTOBER (十月)

楓林 Maple forest

楓林隱鹿尋何處 平地風波必閉藏

단풍 숲에 숨은 사슴 어디서 찾으리오 
평지에 이는 풍파를 반드시 감추어 두세

DECEMBER (十二月)

細雨 Drizzle

暖冬細雨霏霏際 勝苦靑蛙敎訓相

따뜻한 겨울 보슬비가 부슬부슬 내릴 때 
고통을 이긴 청개구리 가르침을 보여 주네
